I'm a senior data engineer working in the community-impact space, where the data that matters is usually small, human, and messy — and getting it right decides whether you can prove you actually helped.
Before big tech I built the first company-wide data lake for a national nonprofit; before that I was a jazz pianist and piano teacher in Australia, which is where I learned my real knack: taking something technical and making it approachable to all.
I write about small data, the day-to-day reality of building with AI, and keeping human ownership at the centre of both — with as few buzzwords as I can manage, and the occasional soapbox about big tech, AI, and doing good at scale.
Founder of Data-Birds, amplifying women in data.
and... Australian, hence the spelling.
Most importantly: mum of 1, cat mum of 3, and wife of my best friend.
